We are updating and getting ready to publish a list of titles. I have years of articles, short stories and non-fiction that I’m dusting off and getting ready to publish. Never too late is my motto. First title we are launching is “99 Ways to Blow a Job Interview!…I have got more ways than that to screw up an interview so this is just a working title for now. Book should be finished within 2 weeks. Then will edit and get it published. Wish me luck…I want to do one on bosses also so I may be coming to you all for suggestions or stories about some of the bosses you have had.

Moved to Las Vegas…

Yep, we are on the adventure trail again. We have relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. Not sure how we will adjust but we will. Currently, we are just settling in so as soon as that gets finalized I will get back to writing…

Spirits Soaring

Today, I woke up feeling crappy and out of sorts with the world. I got my coffee, turned on my computer and waited for mail. I had an email from Robin M inviting me to join a group on LinkedIn; then I got a motivational message from Felicia W inspiring me to write my heart out.

My phone signaled me that I had a new text message – I looked and there was a message from Daisy P saying “love you” pass it on to someone. I opened my journal and there were three messages from my colleagues telling me that I was not old and useless.

I shut my computer off, got in the car and drove to the ocean. I sit and watched the waves roll in, hit the rocks, splash and took a deep sigh – then I went home and started to write.

Count your blessing, this morning I started off with a sourpuss attitude and there were people in the world thinking about me. I love this life and the people who work up this morning with me on their mind.

My spirit is singing!

Start a Coin Jar – Every night before you go to sleep, empty your wallet or purse of all your change. At the end of the week – take that change to the bank. Do not use Coinstar to convert your coins into cash (they have these in stores so people can convert change). Coinstar charges a fee to convert your money. Either role it up yourself or just take it and count it with the bank tellers. Some banks now have the coin changers as well. Some banks also now have the change accounts where you can round off your checking account and they will put the change in a savings account for you and after a period of time they will match some portion of your savings. You can also just open a savings account for your change.

Quit Buying on Impulse – Stores put items need the checkout to trap you and to take your hard earned money. Don’t fall for this marketing ploy. Just go through the check stand with your hands in your pockets and don’t pick up stuff that is luring you to open your wallet and spend your hard earned money.

Stop Paying ATM fees – I cannot stress enough how you should avoid using other ATM’s other than your own banks so you can avoid ATM fees. If you need money fast – go to a grocery store and avoid the extra ATM fees. Plan ahead so you know when you need money. Bank fees are money traps.
